metal or something similar

Hard to explain but I'll try.

I'm looking for a company where I can purchase soft metal or something fireproof, its for the shelf in front of an open fire, saves ash from dropping on the shelf and staining the brick work. (Using the metal I can remove it to clean).

length 79cm x wide 18cm (able to bend in after 12cm)

Thanks

A strip of aluminium would do the job. There is an aluminium place in Quesada but I notice that you are in Catral.
There is Cerrjeria Catral who have a website who could probably make you a strip to your size.
Just look them up on the Internet.

Im sure leroy merlin sells sheet steel and sheet aluminium. What you REALLy want is a piece of stainless steel, but i have no idea wher eyoud get any. Try a scrapyard?

theres a place round the back of the BP garage in Rojales ,I go there for things like that, just make a cardboard template exactly what you want and go and see , he does aluminium and stainless, speaks a little English,

If you get stainless steel make sure you get them to cut it to size, it's very hard & a job to cut, they normally use a laser cutter, you won't cut it with a hacksaw.
