Been robed recently and need replace documents incl. death cert. for my late wife. I understand that there is a place in Orihuela ( we from UK would call a registrars ) where I can get a copy. Does anyone tell me if this is correct and if so what it is called.

Regards Kenley

Would the funeral director who did the original be able to help you out?
It's the Ministry of Justice in Spain who deal with this.
You can apply and their website shows you how (available in English)

its a good plan to scan everything in and store it online somewhere, i do this with every document now, so even if the entire house burnt down and destoryed all documents and every computer, as long as I could log one somewhere else with a printer id be able to recover copies of everything. Being able to do this costs me €7 a month for a Microsoft Cloud account. I have a hi res scanner for this end, and scan all docs into pdfs.

if anyone wants to call round to have a few docs scanning and emailing to them, drop me a PM, glad to oblige

I have photo copies but I need legal copies from registrars so i can apply for a notorised copy of her Will.
Thank you for all your advice but I have since found that there is a civil registrars in Orihuela so I am going to try them next. U.K. birth death and marriage cert can be obtained on line.
