Hi,

My bank account has been frozen with a deadline to pay €120 no idea what it is for. No idea who to contact. The only reference is an Aviso de Embargo - Delegacion A.E.A.T. Alicante - any help much appreciated.

Hi the same thing happened to me years ago.. just call into your branch and they will give you an explanation.. an embargo is for an outstanding bill of some sort.. they never closed my account tho they sent me a txt message to tell me that there was an embargo on my account.. good luck

Thanks all. We’ve spoken to someone and they have said it’s a speeding fine and the embargo on the bank account will be lifted at the end of the month and they’ll take €200 as we have not been there to pay it (can’t pay it over the phone)

Do you know someone who can pay it for you? Our friends had the same thing and we went into the bank to pay it for them they then paid us back.

Can’t pay via the bank unfortunately (this it what the office my wife spoke to). Plus we bank with Abanca of which there are none I am aware of in the south (all up North).
