Watch your speed the speed limit signs have been changed this week on the CV-905 road from Torrevieja towards Quesada, certainly as far as San Luis.
The speed limit has been reduced from 80 to 50 kmh, a significant adjustment,

Just drove down there. Was told that yesterday the police stopped quite a few cars. What I don't understand is it's a dual carriageway. 80 to 50 is ridiculous. The police must be short of money.

The speed limit through Los Montesinos, a very busy little town with a narrow high street is set at 50kph, so how on earth can they justify a similar limit on a dual carriageway.

I would like to know the reason why it's been reduced that much.

Having seen a few cars across the Roundabouts I'm not surprised. The Police were always having Radar Traps on that road.

It will be difficult for many to limit themselves to 31mph on a dual carriageway. I drove along there today at that speed and everyone overtook me.

I often find that if I stick to the speed limit then everyone overtakes me! This isn't a problem on dual carriageways, but on single-lane roads I get cars behind me hooting and flashing their lights ... so I have to speed up! And the Lemon Tree Road has so many speed signs, so close together, can anyone really brake and accelerate like that without upsetting the driver following?

I drove down there on Monday and noticed the new speed restrictions and adhered accordingly . Was overtaken by all other drivers on that stretch and even beeped at ....obviously for going too slow for some drivers :D
