Has anyone any recommendations where we can get our car aircon regarded please. t.i.a.

We found/used a mobile guy called Craig Brown he came to our house and did the complete recharge for 50 euro
Very sucessfull.

This is the guy we used very prompt and friendly

Generally A/C's should only need regassing if they have been worked on or if they have a leak so have it checked for leaks beforehand or you might find it needs doing again in the not too distant future.

The same goes for the A/C in your car.

Most aircons lose ther ga sif not used or serviced for years, thers no such thing as a long term perfect seal. Ive had a couple of cars 15+ years old, have lost freon over the period, just rgeassing fired them up again.

Lack of use causes the compressor seals to dry out so while in a hot climate like Spain's it's not too much of a problem but in UK where the number days per year when you really need an AC in a car be counted on your own fingers and toes (if you're lucky) leakage due to seal failure is a far bigger and more common failure.

Wherever you are running the AC at full pelt for a few minutes once a month can extend a compressors life almost indefinitely.
