I am with Bankia and we pay nothing and have two debit cards and a Visa...

..We get our pensions paid into a UK account and one transfer a month to Bankia...

Doesn't apply to me, as I'm Resident, but if any non-residents successfully challenge their bank, I'm sure other non-residents would appreciate an update on this topic.

Hi that's not I've being told, I too am a resident and our bank informed us via email that what we had heard was 100% true.

There is also mention of reduced charges or no charges in the article for transferring money between different banks - does anyone have further info on that?

Bank has Just taken €35 this quarter , so if this is true, my bank should only take €12 end of June. Will be keeping a close eye .

Hi update!! On Spectrum radio yesterday it said it will kick in, in 20 days time by royal decree

I assume that you are non resident with a Sabadell "key" account.

You will need to open a Sabadell basic account, the "key" account will continue to charge an eye watering €35 per quarter....€140 per year!!
