Hi
We would like to have some electric gates supplied and fitted. Have asked Don Aluminio to quote following recommendation on this site. He has quoted but has never provided any photos of what the quote is for, despite me asking a couple of times!. Easy Gates have seemed a bit expensive. Can anyone recommend any other companies?

When we needed a new gate years ago, we went looking around the area and saw gates we liked and took photos. Then showed our favourite one to the company making the gate.
Also most companies will have a book of photos showing gates they have installed.
There are some really modern electric automatic ones being installed now and some look like they will need hardly any maintenance like painting, which is something to think about, as it doesn't take long for gates to rust, even so called powder coated ones.
We chose white which looked very nice at first but wish now we had chosen a dark colour that did not need constant cleaning to stay looking good.
There are some good looking contemporary electric gates nowadays.

Thank you Jan some good advice. We have only just bought our house and all this is new to us so we didn't know exactly what we wanted or more importantly what would be best in the climate. We our also trying to do this from Scotland!

We have black gates, unfortunately they don't stay black for very long.. maybe sandy-dust coloured gates would be optimal.
