Fake grass is no longer new and many of you probably have put some down on your property. What I would like to know is what you think about it now. Is it a success? Do you have problems with cats weeing on it? Where do you recommend buying it? Would you put fake grass down again if you were to do it again?
I look forward to reading your replies.
Many thanks.

Totally hate it. I am sure some love it. But in the Summer the bugs etc must think they have died and gone to heaven. Why would you consider it? No way I would prefer nice easy to clean tiles. But it is a personal choice me thinks.

I imagine it would be something like an outdoor carpet, hard to keep clean and full of dust. I'll stick with tiles too.
It's worth bearing in mind that there is a wide range of prices and qualities available.

Thank you for this interesting information. What a good idea.
Do you have any problems with cats urinating on it? There are quite a few stray cats near our house and this is my prime concern.
Regards,
Rosemary.

Cats usually like to scratch a hole in soil or stones unlike dogs that go anywhere.

Hi, We had good fake grass in five years and still looks like new and make the garden look loverly. No problem with cats.
I recommend to buy from Leroy Merlin, they have good quiality at very resonable prices.

We have it in our (small) back garden. We have tiles in the larger front and side areas, though.
The grass is fine (we got it from Christian Garden Centre) and it was easy to fit by myself. Just make sure the earth underneath is flattened first. Didn't have to pay for installation and it doesn't get hot in the summer months (probably because it's good quality and have a thermal heat resistant label) and have had it now for about 8 or 9 years and not showing any sign of wear and tear.
The cats don't go on the grass, just around the sides which are earth and stones.
