Hi Marcliff in a previous post about healthcare when you say earn is pension income classed as earnings? Are savings taken into the equasion?

Still trying to assimilate it all. I am a pensioner but hubby not yet but he is an artist so earnings are spasmodic. Would we be assessed as individuals or as a couple.

TIA

It all depends on the income that is declared on your income tax return. The SIP card is link to the tax details which gives your income. You have to declare pensions here so, yes, pensions do count.
Savings don't but I imagine interest from the savings would as that goes on the income tax return.
Each person is assessed individually. As I said, my wife doesn't pay for prescriptions but I do and we are both 70.
