Hi all,
I’m looking to complete on my villa at the end of April this year (2019) and take up permanent residence. i’m Now tying up all the loose ends.
Can anyone recommend an insurance company for buildings and contents?
Also a health insurance provider to meet the criteria as although retired I am not of retirement age yet.
Any other useful information regards internet providers etc etc most welcome.
Many thanks,
Gray

Telfy in Rojales should be able to sort you internet requirements. No doubt others will give their own preferences.
There are plenty to choose from, likewise with the Insurance companies.

Steer well clear of CASER insurance. Once sold soon forgotten. And check house insurance covers lost items, my wife lost a diamond from her ring and we found out our insurance ( mapre) did not cover it. It's a Spanish jungle out there, good luck

Many thanks for replies so far :). I'd already read about Caser and will steer clear of them.

If it´s a single item of high value, like a decent diamond ring, watch etc you need to insure as a named item which would require additional cover, over and above the normal buildings and contents insurance. That isn´t exclusive to Spain.
In answer to the OP, I would recommend Reale insurance via IBEX on Quesada, no problem with claims and issues leading to claim, resolved and settled real quick.
I would agree re CASER, steer clear.
