I just brought over a smart plug for a lamp in Spain. This is 3 pin to 3 pin. I can fit an adaptor from smart plug to mains, is it okay to change the lamp plug to a UK 3 pin and is there anywhere local I can purchase one? thanks in advance

You could get an EU to UK adapter to allow the smart plug to be plugged-in, then a UK to EU adapter to plug your lamp into the smart plug, or change the plug. I doubt you'll get a new 13A plug locally, but there are plenty kicking around the charity shops, car boot sales etc (don't forget fuses as well).

But, you an but EU smart plugs (sockets really) such as the Sonoff S20 for less than £10 online, so why bother?
