I use No Hassel Car Hire. The car is far from new, but I've checked it thoroughly, and it is appears to be well maintained. Air con is ice cold, which was my main concern (after safety).

Cheap to hire, no deposit to pay, no excess on your credit card, fully insured and full breakdown cover.

Highly recommended.
