It's a fan, and a very expensive one at that. It simply moves the air around and doesn't cool it down.
Fine, I should think, for UK but very much doubt it would be effective here in the Summer months.

It also runs at 2Kw so it would cost you whatever the charge for 2Kw is every hour. About 30 cents and hour to run (incl VAT) and will give you 2Kw of cooling. Compared to an inverter aircon which gives you 3.5Kw of cooling and costs about 18 cents to run for the first hour and about 8 or 9 cents once it has set the ambient temperature.

The plus on the Dyson (if that's the one) is that it cleans the air as well and removes dust, smoke etc.

The plus on the aircon is that it actually produces cold air and is cheaper to run.

Go for inverter aircon - it gives both cooling and heating.

Pete.

So does the Dyson fan.

Some do, yes. But the heating function costs much more to run than an inverter unit, and the aircon in cooling mode actually cools - using a refrigeration process - rather than simply creating a ‘wind chill factor’.

Pete.

Agreed, as pointed out in my first reply.
Inverter aircon definitely the best option.

My son bought the very expensive Dyson and didn’t like it so he sent it back. I guess he had a 30 day money back guarantee.

Hi i had the dyson aircon/ heater.. what a total waste of 200e tbh.. ok for a very small room but otherwise you are far better paying the extra money for a fitted aircon unit with hot and cold settings.. dont waste your money
