Fake notes

Think we were offered a dodgy 5 euro note in the charity shop the other day. I took it, it felt different, the silver looked like tin foil and when i put it against another 5 note it was slightly smaller, hardly anything. i asked another member of staff and then the boss none of us were happy. We refused it. But, should we have kept it, called the police, wasnt sure what to do. We gave it back to the lady and told her take it to the bank to check it out. Its very difficult to tell good from bad. Where can you buy one of those pens that check the notes.

I always try and stick to smaller notes after someone on here posted that they paid with a 50e note in Lidl and when they ran it through the machine it came back as forged and Lidl kept it.
That is some hit to take.
Well spotted on your 5e whenever I get change I just stick it straight in my pocket.

Coincidentally the ladies in a charity shop in Quesada were discussing this problem yesterday while I was browsing in there.

From what I’ve heard, from Charity Shop staff, is that forged notes rarely come from Moroccans, as they prefer not to use money for the goods they take.

Tell me about it!! We caught ons with a kitchen utensil up her sleeve, it was only about 50c, its amazing the stuff that gets nicked, you notice something missing, ask if its been sold and no it hasn't. Im convinced a pair of baby shoes were nicked by a certain lady, in her hand one moment and gone the next. I questioned her and she denied it but they were nowhere to be seen. You then question yourself, its so annoying.
