Hugger Muggers

Back in Quesada less than a week and this morning, walking from Lidl to Gamma at Dona Pepa, 3 girls from 2 cars with 2 drivers tried to mug my husband and myself! 3rd time in a year this has happened and twice it has been on a Sunday morning. Slightly different method today; 1 car stopped ahead and 1 girl got out.....the 2nd car stopped behind and 2 girls got out and approached from behind. Fortunately we recognised the situation from the last times and also the girls....except this time they were dressed in white leggings. 1 car was a silver Ford which sped off, swerving along the road to avoid our camera shot! The other car which was dark in colour picked up the 3 girls as they ran off when we confronted them!!!

Bloody hell, let's hope they pick on the wrong person and get badly hurt
Get rid of them and another lot are ready to take over. A lot of times now when I go out alone I take my nice rings off and leave them at home. It's a sad state of affairs these days. I've now sold most of my sentimental jewellery, just kept what I normally wear on a daily basis due to the fact of AHoles like this it's just not worth it. Not only here either.

It really is unbelievable how blatant they are, they are also doing this in areas with CCTV coverage and still nothing is being done about it, there's CCTV at the Arches where it recently happened, also the Citroen Garage in Benijofar and now at Lidl who also have external cameras, it really is baffling

Hopefully I bump into them with my Rottweilers sometime soon

That is a busy stretch of road as well.
The old guy I know got jumped at the cashpoint near the Arches on a Sunday morning but that was earlier in the year.
I was only thinking recently they must have gone back onto the coast for easy pickings

The silly season brings the criminals for easy pickings, already the Cash Machines in Quesada have been tampered with and people have been conned out of money. always check the machines for loose fittings where you put your card in as could save you a whole load of grief

In an article in today's Informacion a court in Benidorm has issued an exclusion order on one of these operators. A Bulgarian guy offering sexuals favours and robbing the victims. He has been excluded from various streets where most of the tourists socialise for 8 months. Of course they have to be arrested and brought before the courts first. Is there a neighbourhood watch in the area which could liaise with the Policia?

92 years old friend George tells me he was stopped by the silver car, with the 2 young ladies in the back, when he was making his way home from Zoco market on his mobility scooter this morning. Having been robbed twice already George knew immediately what their intentions were when the driver wound down his window to ask what the time was. They very quickly disappeared when George shouted loudly for them to p..s off, or he’d call the police. Goes to show that these parasites have no respect for whoever their prey might be, or whatever grief they may cause.

These posts and other posts appear to make Quesada a crime riddled town.Is this a true reflection or is Quesada just like any other town.

Just the same as any other place here and other countries, it happens in the UK too

It happens everywhere.. but here we can discuss it..

Does anyone have a forum for the area they live in in the UK..?? If so I expect similar reports to be discussed...

The amount of crime mentioned on here is a testament to how good the forum is as a venue for warning others..

Don´t worry, just be sensible..
