Beginner Airbrush Course

Four complete days where you will learn skills and techniques for airbrushing on any surface, be it canvas, textile, wall murals, cake decorating, motorbikes just to name a few. You'll receive plenty of individual attention and step-by-step guidance to create and complete the variety of projects seen here. These finished pieces are for you to take home and will serve as references and samples of your ability. Some of the things you will learn in the process include;

Airbrush maintenance and optimization
Colour theory and paint mixing
Masking, stencil and template techniques
Freehand control
Lots of tips and tricks for quick professional results

This course is held in a relaxing environment set in a professional art studio which is located in the tranquil countryside of Dolores, Alicante, Spain. It will run from the 3rd until the 6th of September, and is open to everyone at all levels. The pioneer and absolute master of airbrush technique was Alberto Vargas (1896-1982) , who used to do 'glamour girls' for the front covers of 1930's magazines such as Harpers and Queens, and it was his work inspired the Nose Art on USAAF aircraft in WW2.

His technique was stunning:

The fineness of the tonality and shading is incredible.

I totally agree, his work is amongst some of the masterpieces that inspired me to start in the beginning. Here are some pictures of a couple of motorbikes that I've recently painted for the Harley Davidson dealership in Alicante, giving homage to his great vision.
