Hi. Does anyone know where in Almoradi you go to get your Spanish driving license.

Get one, as in you want to take a driving test?
Exchange on as in change your UK licence for a Spanish one?

Firstly, you need to take lessons with a driving school and they will book the written and practical driving test.

If you are changing one then trafico at Elche would be your nearest place. You will need a medical, book an appointment with trafico and take your passport, completed medical form, application to exchange the licence, driving licence photograpsh and the fee there. They will then take the details from your licence, give you your old licence back and a form to say you have applied to exchange it. Once DVLA UK comes back with an answer confirming your licence is valid, trafico will call you to bring your UK licence in for another appointment. They will then take your UK licence off you and give you a temporary, paper, driving licence and your new Spanish one will arrive in the post a week or two later.

Thank you marcliff. It is to exchange a Cypriot one for a Spanish one. I read on the forum before that someone said they went to somewhere in Almoradi and they did everything in the one place. I think it was €57. I sent the person who posted the information a message but they didn’t bother to reply.

I used One Way Services in Quesada who took me to Cartagena and the whole thing medical and traffico completed in 1 morning. Got Spanish licence through the post about 2 weeks later.

Once you have changed to a Spanish licence, can you still hold onto your old UK licence? It would be handy to have if visiting the UK.

The place in Almoradi is on the right as you go into Almoradi from AP7 it is opposite a Cafe called Caribe with a lot of tables outside
It may be easier for you to go to Clinaca La Siesta in La Siesta they will do it there

Does Clinica La Siesta do everything? I got the impression the one in Almoradi did everything, medical, coordination test and sorted out exchanging to Spanish license, maybe I have the wrong end of the stick.

Does the Clinica La Siesta actually do licence exchanges?
I know they do the renewals for Spanish licences but didn't know they did the exchange of foreign licence for a Spanish one.
