We’ve been using TransferWise for 4years. At the weekend I was transferring cash from UK to Spanish account and they asked for Photographic ID to be scanned in before completing the transaction.
Has anyone else encountered the same problem?
I had to complete the transaction on I pad as opposed to laptop as the iPad took photo of my ID

I used it this morning as normal. No requests for photo ID requested.

I am certain I saw an email from them recently to advise they were upgrading their security so its probably linked to that.

Many transfers over last 3 years, also one yesterday, and not had that request, or any other, just same procedure, u sure you have accidentally redirected to a scam site?

Currencies direct give a better rate than TransferWise.
Register with them.

It is the amount that goes into your bank that counts and Transferwise give more than Currencies Direct

A couple of years ago I had to do just that. Once done was fine
