Just had this email from Bankia . Basically it's to make sure your phone details are up to date . From tomorrow when you want to log in to your account they will send an additional one time pass code to your phone - for you to enter as part of the log in process . Point being make sure they have your correct telephone number .

As in true Spanish style I received the email this afternoon - the new procedure starts tomorrow !

As long as Bankia have your correct mobile number it should not be a problem . I will try and log on in the morning and see what happens .

Must be some collusion somewhere. I've had the same sort of message from Natwest and Barclaycard in UK via email.
Because we'd actually changed our mobile since we've been here, the NatWest account is now blocked for my wife and she has to wait for a card reader to arrive by post if she wants to do anything except check the balance.

Haven't had one from Bankia, though but if I order anything from Dave's coaches I get a passcode sent to my mobile before they'll authorise it.

I got the same email this morning from Bankia which says that, as from today, I can't access my account online unless I enter my login and password and a number which I will receive on my mobile.

Just logged in and no SMS message. All as normal and could access the account online without receiving one.
