Does anyone know what the large excavation is for? Near the Mercadonna.

Yes I have been curious about that too, seems too deep to be a run of the mill building foundation, but who knows? Noone has ever been working on it when I have passed, otherwise would have asked...

Ah, that sounds plausible. It's too far off the beaten track for a petrol station but flats with underground car park may fit the bill. The villas opposite may not be too happy at looking on to a block of flats but I guess that's an inevitable hazard of buying beside undeveloped land...pic of the excavation taken this morning while out walking...

i thought it was forbidden for high builds in this region, so flats?

9 flats would be 3 across by 3 high so not a high build.

Thanks for the info. That makes sense considering how deep it is & it had doubled in size at our last visit. Was concerned it was going to be a MacDonalds or petrol station!
