Is this a direct from satellite system?

If that is the case ... its an effect that happens at specific times of every year and is unavoidable.

Crossed with previous poster but here it is anyway.

Assuming you mean Sky TV then in certain areas the low sun at this time of year can temporarily 'blind' a dish.

It will be past now but if you look outside you'll see that the sun has recently passed the focal point of the dish.

Nothing you can do about it but it will quickly pass.

It can be very localised too, for instance I'm only about 25k north of you but have not experienced the phenomena this year although I did once or twice last year.

Yes mine has done this the last few mornings at more or less the same time. I flicked it onto a few other channels and for some reason Sky News was still receiving. After 5/10 minutes I went back to BBC 1 and that was ok too.

Hi, we have the same problem but we are with a local supplier not Sky. I have passed it on to them and they are looking into it.

Signal strength can be a factor and Sky news is one of the stronger channels ones so that's why it might hang on while weaker ones get swamped.

Nothing to look into, it's a natural and short lived phenomenon which nobody can do much about.

Go and make yourself a cuppa!
