Happy New Year Reader.
If there anyone on the forum looking to get rid of or selling an empty gas bottle?
Tried to buy one but have been told i require a contract. Is this correct, any help appreciated.

I think you need the gas certificate for your property so not really a licence but many places which sell bottles don't bother checking so worth trying elsewhere.
Saying it's for a BBQ or space heater often works.

The cheapest places to exchange gas bottles is either a Repsol garage (orange) or cepsa garage (silver)agents put extra on you won’t need a license to exchange bottle

you take out a contract with a dealer , you pay a deposit on a bottle , and keep the receipt ,
when you no longer require the bottle you take it and your receipt and get your money back .
that is your contract !
