Absolutely ridiculous

It says on Diario Informacion that flights have also been diverted to Corvera Murcia Airport. Also one poor man died of a heart attack shortly after getting off a diverted flight at Valencia Airport today.

We had to fly out of Mercia last Thursday because of fire
However as we had hired a car from Alicante Airport
we had to drive over there very early in the morning to take car back
They wouldn’t let us leave it at Mercia
Then we had to get a taxi to Mercia costing €127
I know we can get this back as we were told to get receipt
However Ryanair did not provide any bus ,coaches to take people to different airports, which I feel was really bad
Imagine if you didn’t have any money
What were you supposed to do
Also we were not informed until 10pm the night before flying

Out of interest only - does anybody know the difference between re-directed and diverted? Just curious.

Also on Sunday to an. other for the sarcastic reply of a hint, I had already been on Ryan Air,,, obs,,, and if I had taken notice of that I would have driven to alicante airport for a wasted journey,,,, as we were told to be there 3hrs before!!!! Done murcia for early hours!!! Only to leave airport after 2.00oclock

Friend is due to fly back this evening with RA. Just had an email to tell her to go to Murcia instead and also 3 hours ahead of flight rather than 2. I feel for those with hire cars that must be returned to ALC - for us here in Quesada to drive 30 mins in the wrong direction to then have to take a taxi at great expense for 1.25 hours in the other direction is a nightmare.

I've just seen a post that Alicante airport is closed ALL DAY today

My daughter was told by Ryanair that her plane home would be from Valencia at 10.20 this morning, and not Alicante.

Not best pleased, but up at the crack of dawn to take her there. It is now 16.10pm and nobody has left, they`ve cancelled all the flights. Queues and queues of people waiting to speak to someone from Ryanair. Some people have had taxis from Benidorm at the cost of who knows what. How can they be allowed to do this?

I don't see how they can make you go to Valencia unless they provided transport? It's all a bit of a shambles isn't it?
