Good Morning, read this morning In Euro Weekly but have to make further checks, that 2 persons allowed in car, passenger must sit in back, again only for essentials - shopping, dr, chemist, hospital etc.
hope someone will be able to find further confirmation about this.
Just hope it’s not abused just for a jolly.
Please wear protected clothing mask and gloves.
Stay safe

This was posted yesterday on the N332 site, it is not clear who this applies to BUT the general opinion was that it applies ONLY to taxis & other private hire vehicles, personally i wouldn't risk a heavy fine & will wait for further clarification.

The N332 page has clarified this after misleading everyone with the above information. NO, you cannot have 2 persons in a car unless it complies with SECTION 7 . Please read below.

"Can I take my wife/husband to the supermarket?"
Let's clarify this;
"Transporte Particular" = The transport in your own vehicle.
If you read this phrase carefully; "En los que DEBA viajar mas de una persona"
There MUST be a reasonable reason to take a second person in your vehicle, and this must be included in article 7.
For example; Two family members have an appointment in the hospital, work in the same place or area, or they need to attend to any place both together, and the presence of both it is strictly necessary.
We can not apply this new measure to take our wife or husband to do the shopping and wait in the parking, please common sense.
The Alarm State has been declared therefore we must remain at home and only get out when it is really necessary.
This modification has been done to facilitate that two people can travel in the same vehicle instead of two-vehicle when it is really necessary not for leisure.

I went to the Consum yesterday at Lo Maribu. . There were three French people in front of me in the queue outside. One elderly lady, leaning on a trolly and two others. They were stood together and chatting away. When the doors opened, the elderly lady have the trolly to one of the others (male) and went and sat in a car. The two remaining people split up as though they were single. When the third person went inside the shop, she got her own trolly.
