Hi All,
Thinking of updating our Wills here in Spain, are the Notaries open during this difficult time or not.
While I am on the subject who do forum users recommend for the Wills.

TIA for all comments.

We went to the notary at rojales. 50 euro each. They offer a translator for about 15 euro. All quick and easy. Google them and telephone them. I think there is only one in the town. The address is not as advertised on google. The office is on the opposite side of the river. South side. Facing the main road near a little jewelery shop. Further olong from the police station towards the bridge and on the othe r side of the road.

On Sunday I watched a webinar from Pellicer Heredia Abogados who stressed that the only wills they and notaries were accepting were from people who at this time are ill. People who just wanted to update their wills for non urgency were classed as non essential.

There is an article in today's Informacion which says under Article 701 of the Civil Code that in times of an epidemic a will may be made without the presence of a Notary. It must be witnessed by 3 people over the age of 16 and it should be in writing. If it is not in writing then it is best to record it. The person making the will doesn't have to be suffering from the corona virus.
