I have a set amount taken out of my bank every month to cover my Iberdrola Bills. However since the beginning of January they have taken a further 7.38 Euros out if my account.

Does anyone know what this is for?

TIA

I think you'll find your regular payment has not been enough to cover your total useage, standing charges, insurance etc. and this is their way of collecting the underpayment over a period in order to avoid hitting you with a large amount when the annual reconciliation is carried out which I think is around October.

It goes from the month of your contract if you start it in say April they will contact you the following March to say you have eg= €75 euros in front therefore we will put that into your bank account.and they do. We will reduce your monthly money you have been paying down to ( if you had been paying €55 per month reduce it to say €48 per month) if of course you haven’t paid enough and you owe say €75 over the 12months you can pay it off or increase what you pay monthly. Make sure you cancel the insurance it can be as much as €10 ,they will offer to reduce it but just say no you don’t want it. You are covered with your house insurance for this.if in doubt ring them .
