Hospital Appointment - Any Special Procedures ?

Hi

Shortly we're due to visit Torrevieja Hospital, the previous appointment was sometime before the Covid 19 lock-down.

Has anyone attended the Hospital recently, and are there any special procedures that now need to be adhered to ?

Obviously face masks etc goes without saying, but are there restrictions on mobile phones/bags/paperwork etc for the appointment ?

I presume we head to the reception area on the floor we are visiting,or do we use the main reception desk as we go in.

Many thanks,in anticipation of your replies.

I was there last Friday, wear a mask, as you go in at the main reception, there is a table with antiseptic for your hands , then go to the machine and book in as normal to get your ticket, then go to your correct floor, keeping social distance. Good luck.

They also want you to go alone. My friend wasn't allowed into the consultants room with her husband. Seating is taped off too. Only 2 seats out of 4 available

Was there today for appointment. Car park not even half full. Sanitiser on desk as you enter. Everyone wearing masks. Every two seats taped up. People milling around on ground floor with not much distancing going on. By the machines where you scan your appointment, people just standing around lurking. Once moved out of that area, far fewer people than I am used to seeing there.

It was more complicated at the hairdressers than it was having an appt at Torrevieja Hospital last week. Just hand sanitizer inside main entrance & requested social distancing though no one seemed to be supervising that.... everything else as before.

Was there last Friday 26 June, very simple, face masks, sanitiser at door and do the ticket machine thing then straight to where your appointment is. Saw no restrictions being applied on being accompanied. Some people on their own but many going in to appointments in couples. Some seats taped off in waiting areas but that was it. Very quick, efficient and easy.

You will be the only person allowed into the room to see nurse or consultant, my husband waits in department reception for me. I am back at Santa Lucia tomorrow, the 4th time during the ‘emergency’, I will have the interpreters telephone number all keyed into mobile if I require assistance.
