The Rower wrote:Personally I wouldn’t be going to the police station to tell them the ticket was on display and overlooked, when it clearly wasn’t. If they did take a photo on their mobile, that puts you in a whole worse position.

One of those times you just have to pay and put it down to experience.

Yes, I agree 100 % ...... As frustrating as it is, Pay it and move on.

It is now common practice for all parking wardens, here and in the UK to take photographs of vehicles that are failing to display a ticket. They will normally take images of windows and dashboard, so please don’t try and tell them that you had the ticket on display. It was bad luck that the ticket fell from the dashboard, even worse luck if they find you are trying to pull the wool over their eyes. Pay in good faith and sleep soundly.

Pay the fine and ignore the stupid comments about lieing to the police.

Just pay the fine before you have to pay the full amount. Unfortunately it’s annoying but it’s your responsibility to make sure the ticket was on display.

I had the same issue in Guardamar, foolishly put my sun shade over the ticket. Wasn't interested at the police station so I went to the SUMA office around the corner from the town hall and paid it. Put it down to experience.
