Hi there, does anyone know where to get an excess insurance policy for car hire in Spain. My car hire company says, if i can get one from my Uk Providor, it will reduce the cost of car hire by about 20%, but when I spoke to my UK insurer this morning, they said they’d never heard of it. Confused.com.

With my own excess insurance I have never paid more than 20 euros for 10 days car hire at Alicante airport, can’t remember the co but will post later.

AIG insurers, cost £44 annually for all Europe travel

I use carhireexcess.co.uk cost me £41.99 last year for a annual policy. Have used them for a number of years, no problems.
