Hi all. My wife is flying to England on Tuesday and returning 2 weeks later. She will be self isolating with her sister while she's there. Does anyone know if she will be able to return as this will be in the 2nd uk lockdown.

There is a ban from England on international travel (except for work) for one month from Thursday. So I would guess not.
I don't think anyone on here will know the answer until a full list of exemptions are provided which they haven't been yet.

she might be able to if she is a resident here and is coming home. I don't think these quarantines can stop you getting back to your permanent place of residence.

Yes that is correct she will be allowed to return to her home in Spain. The only reason she couldn't is if Spain locked its borders to UK flights.

These are the regulations on the UK Gov's website:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-nationa ... 5-novemberMrs Zoo and Mrs D - YES, you can return to Spain as your place of permanent residence
Tim Stephens - if you're not resident in Spain and not travelling here for work or legal reasons, then NO, you can't travel under the conditions of the UK's lockdown.
