Workmen have been in there for the last 2 days erecting a wooden pergola, and today placing wooden picnic tables and benches under it. Looks very nice
Also noticed dog bins now in at least one corner of the park, just not at the gate! You can hope that people will pick up after their dogs as they now won’t have to walk to the entrance, which is obviously too far for some owners!

Just to add the dog bins are dotted around the park not just the corner I noticed

I haven’t been to the dog park since I “found” La Recorral Park. Its beautiful and we have a far more pleasant walk there. I always pick up after my dog.

Hi...I use Lo Marabu as my Dog loves to run...I am responsible and clean up after him. My question is concerning La Recorral...would I be correct in thinking that you cannot let your dog off the lead at La Recorral. I have not been to the Recorral for several years so am somewhat behind in what the current restrictions are.

Morning hobnob, yes digs are supposed to be on a leash I. The Recorral but once through the double gates you will see lots of open land which your dog can run freely. Mine loves it.

So "RULES " do not apply to you then ...????

I love to walk around the Recorral park but I am scared of dogs and I hate it when dogs are running around off the lead That’s probably why the rule is there - for other peoples well being.

El Recorral is a public area, and dogs of any breed or size have to be on a lead in any public area in Spain.

In El Recorral, the fine is €300 if caught, and the police do check fairly frequently.

I should add that in the valley next to the park it is private once you are past the pigeon club, so they can run freely there. I checked that with the Guardia Civil canine unit when they came to check on people a while ago.
