Starling bank Euro

Yes hello
So these sudden changes to Sabadell charging 50 EURO A quarter. Perhaps this new banking system is the answer. If anyone has done any serious research into this. They do have a Euro bank account. Just let me know.

We've just ditched starling bank as utility companies don't want to touch it as it's a GB Iban. Gone with transferwise now eu Iban number and also a uk account alongside it, my solicitor has changed all our direct debits so it's back ok again..

Are your direct debits for utilities etc; coming out of your TFW account? Have you completely done away with a Spanish bank account?

Yes all utilities are coming out of TW now . Debit cards with TW too us your only allowed 2 transactions per month, I've got a card and the has so 4 atm transactions per month for us and the card works in the shops. Were starling didn't in spain..
So we've given up starling completely now I think this will be the death of starling bank..

Excellent Yogibear, thank you! We are both with Sabadell but haven’t been told of any pending increased charges yet.
We each have an Expansion Account which they said is free if you deposit your monthly UK pension! More lies, we get charged €15 each every month despite paying our pensions directly in to our accounts. Mind you, Sabadell default M O is to just help themselves to random sums of our money whenever the please and with no explanation!!
Response to any query is usually ‘your account is being charged in line with its conditions’. So very helpful

I am also about to ditch La Caixa bank due to increased bank charges. I have opened a TW account and instructed my solicitor to transfer all direct debits
to my TW IBAN euro account. My question to YogiBear39 is, after the utility company’s have been informed of the bank account changes do you need to inform TW or is the process automatic?

you can have as many ATM transactions a month as you wish the first two are free
