TRAVEL TO SPAIN FROM THE UK

IMPORTANT: New rules will apply to enter Spain from the UK.
Who can and can’t travel to Spain from the UK starting 30th March?

Since Brexit, the UK is considered a non-EU country, therefore, according to the Orden INT/420/2021.
- British citizens (as 3rd country nationals) can't travel to Spain at the moment, in general terms.
- EU citizens and their relatives -including British ones-, can.

This is a temporary regulation which restricts 3rd country nationals entering Spain for public health reasons due to the COVID-19 health crisis.

Is there a point to this post?
This is well known and well publicised. This also comes to an end at the end of this month, with no current indication of being extended.

Well thanks for taking the time and trouble to post your helpful reply.
I am glad that there was a a point to doing it, - for you - (I hope your toothache improves soon) :)

The rights of the EU citizen to enter Spain, currently, were obvious and very clear

The trouble is that there is still some doubt with carriers about the subject of UK nationals (UK resident) accompanying them
- if the Spanish authorities should, for any reason, choose to extend the current exclusion of UK citizens (as 3rd country nationals) to a June (or later) date
- however unlikely that may happen to be -
[ Marcliff wrote, replying to a separate post - "The current block on third party nations (including UK) entering Spain expires on 31st May. This could be extended (it has been at least 3 times) but not cast iron guaranteed either way at the moment." ]

(e.g. it (a "block" extension) could then affect me, I will be accompanied by my wife, an EU citizen, on entering Spain in June )

- I had been unable to find an official, easily quotable, source to give support to what I had believed to be the case.
That was my reason for posting
