Even in normal times, I get out to my place for a maximum of 4wks a year, so I don’t want to pay for all year round telly.

I was using the switch on switch off service with Superbeam, but the connection has been really bad the last couple of times.

How do all of you holiday owners watch English tv?

Do not know if still around but I use DVLAB. I have had good service for many years for both tv and internet. I just hope when I finally make it out to Spain again they are still operating.

I use Meganet up by gama. I ring them before flying out and they switch it on. It's via cable TV.

I bring the sky box every time. It’s worth the effort.

I have a VPN on my laptop and connect it to the tv via an hdmi cable. Can then watch, on the tv, the uk channels through the bbc iplayer, itv hub, sky app etc - live or catch-up.

The VPN makes the iplayers think you are in the UK. I use NordVPN, about £2.50 a month and easy to use. There are many other good ones.

At least then you have a more reliable and better quality picture than you get from these IPTV suppliers, all of which, without exception, are transmitting hooky feeds.

I bought my IPTV loaded onto an Amazon firestick, on which the person who sold it to me also loaded a VPN (for a one off annual payment of around a tenner). I don't need to bother with a laptop, far too much trouble, and connecting to the TV via a HDMI cable. I just plug the firestick into the back of the TV. I navigate using the Firestick remote control and I have every station I could want to watch live, including all the UK and Irish channels. In addition, I also have an endless supply of up to date films and complete box sets.

Agree re hooky feeds on IPTV, but everything is coming to me in over the internet, the same as you, and the quality of the picture is perfect. And I have no reliability issues.

I have a satellite dish, but I wanted something that I can watch the day I arrive. It seems as though a palm tree in the distance has interfered with my reception and that means waiting until an engineer can call. Too much agg.

I used transponder tv before getting a satellite dish. Transponder has various packages the basic cost £52/year.
It had most of the terrestrial channels.
