Hi Marcliff

A quick question, we are here to sell our villa and completion will be outside of the 90 day rule. Could you please tell us if or how we get a 30 day extension?

Thanking you in advance

I'm sorry but I don't think there is a way of extending it. The only extension would be with a visa but these have to be applied for in your own country before arrival.

This question gets asked many times on travellers' sites and the answer that always pops up is you can't.

Maybe your solicitor would know of something or give you a letter explaining it which you could show if they get a bit bolshy about you staying.

You can always give power of attorney to your conveyancer to complete on your behalf.

I gave power of attorney to my solicitor and they did everything for me. All done via email during first lockdown. Fantastic service and would highly recommend SGM in Benijofar .

Has anyone broke the 90 day rule by accident or design and if so what were the consequences.
You don’t have to worry about broken records these days all music is available to download on the internet.
Cheers
Andrew

4 Couples from our circle of friends broke the 90 day rule at the end of March, 3 of them right or wrong kept getting their ferry/flight cancelled. the other couple, well they didn't care and didn't leave till end of June.
None have suffered any consequence's. (YET) This may came back to bite them, who knows. The ones who left in June fully intend to return, Mid September and stay till March as they have done for the last 8 years.
