The U.K. pub and hostelries industry is begging the government to grant visa’s to eu workers only months after forcing them out because of Brexit. You couldn’t make it up.

Your absolutely right, plenty of people who voted for Brexit who went for weekend away like the Premier Inn / Travel Inn probably never gave a thought as to who clean their room for them , and went to a bar and serve them a drink , because one things for sure the British don’t want to do these jobs unless there students on summer break , not everyone has the budget of MP to stay at 5* hotels , one day the penny will drop.

In a way, it’s our own fault. Everyone has become too grand and nobody wants to do menial jobs anymore. We all want our children educated to university level and the kids graduate with massive debts. A good trade could and does provide as good an income as so called professional work. We need immigrants. Think about America. The Irish went there in their droves and took any jobs going, gradually they worked their way up to President the country. Then came the Italian, Chinese, Puerta Ricans, Mexican. There’s always a need for the underdog but ambition gets in the way( naturally) and before long there’s nobody to do the grotty jobs. It’s the same all over the work . Years ago people accepted “their little lot” but not today. The world is your oyster and we all want a share of it. We are going to have to pay people a fair wage for a fair job. We will see a massive rise in inflation shortly and it will hit hard. The cost of living is going to go through the roof for all of us but if it helps people to get fairly paid, it will be worth it.

Absolutely right - what other question than "Where do we obtain our cheap foreign labour from?" - Could or should have caused them any concern?

Really don't want to hear the old Brexit arguments.

Whatever your beliefs uk voted to leave Europe. We now need to make it work and address any issues for the good of the new uk.

It's unlikely to be plain sailing but let's just get on with it.

It will never be the end of Brexit arguments. Brexiteers need to be constantly reminded of the damage that they have inflicted on the U.K.

And how will reminding Brexiteers of the shortcomings of Brexit planning. That will not help us to move forward.
Brexiteers spent years just denying all objective criticisms as scaremongering- and it worked for them. The only way to move on is by making stuff work. But we must make it work.

. You move on if you want. I will never forgive the stupidity of brexiteers and never forget the cost to the U.K. and in particular the money and dreams lost by many ex-pats.
