People sometimes ask where they can get a good old British roast dinner and get replies like you're in Spain eat Spanish food, I know what I prefer

Nothing wrong with Spanish food at all, and with all due respect this was not in answer to 'where can you get a good old British dinner ' as the question wasn't asked on https://www.facebook.com/proyectomastral in the first place.

And I just love Spanish meatballs !!

I tend to agree, the occaisional British roast dinner is lovely.

However, the boiled spanish meatball in the pool of chicken noodle soup is something I've experieced a number of times but never yet enjoyed.

If I didn't enjoy a particular dish, once would be enough for me.

The quality of the pelota (the large meatball)can vary from one place to another iv found,
Its if they homemade by gramas recipe passed down, or bought in from butchers or supermarket.
I have tried them in many spanish restaurants /bars,
Then there's the abondigas the smaller meatball that some put in the noodle/chicken stock broth, they also vary from place to place,

We eat in many restaurants nearly all Spanish but occasionally we go to an Indian restaurant, nothing wrong with that, even Spaniards sometimes eat foreign food. Likewise we sometimes go out for a traditional British Sunday lunch.

I enjoy these and have been lucky to be invited to the confederias ( society dedicated to meatballs) dinners on a few occasions.
That’s where you will get the best ones .
