Does anyone know why flight prices to Alicante are so high first week in Oct? It's not half term so we don't think it's linked to school holidays. Is there something going on in the Costa Blanca then that I'm not aware of?

Perhaps a lot of people subject to the 90 day restriction all choose to travel out at the start of October.
Another unforeseen effect of Brexit?

Depends where you’re flying from, easy jet from Manchester, or Ryanair from East Midlands have plenty of reasonable priced flights to Alicante,Dearer to return early October but it usually is more expensive to return for some reason.
The days of very cheap flights are unfortunately coming to an end.
On saying that it’s still cheaper for almost 2400 mile round trip than a lot of 320 mile round trips to London from the North of UK on the train.

The cost of flights have escalated since lockdown. If you don’t book early, be prepared to pay far more than you’d hoped for. I’ve been booking months ahead and the flights are still not cheap! I’ve my flights booked until next February and as soon as they release their new schedule, I will be straight onto the site to book for as many flights next year as I can. Having a holiday home abroad is an expensive luxury.
