Terrible Driving

What is the matter with drivers on Quesada? They seem to drive through the gates and think this is a place where there is no need to concentrate.
I crossed on the crossing between the Farmacia and the Taxi rank just up from the arches. As I crossed a car shot out of the side turning at the side of the Farmacia and if I had not had my wits about me I would have been an hospital job.
The driver was completely oblivious to what he had done.
When I came back across the same crossing some chump in a hired Berlingo was so engrossed in conversation with his passenger that he nearly had me over too. For once a Police car was passing, saw what happened and gave the driver an almighty bollo.........telling off.
The moral of the story is take extra care - the do as you likeys are out in force.
Unless of course they were Remainers who have a contract out on me.:D

On lots of occasions though we gave encountered careless those just walking accross the road and crossings without bothering to look or wait until a driver has stopped
It's not all motorists although there is some crazy driving and even crazier parking

That's the one thing that really gets me here is tha lack of indicator usage, don't these drivers understand why they are fitted to cars, just for fun?
Is their usage banned in Spain, did Franco not like them or is it other nationalities ?

Ha!
I've been back to the UK quite a few times this year. The use of indicators appears to be catching. Very rarely saw one used in UK, tailgating on motorways was as bad as here as was lane discipline. Trouble is, there's so many more cars there. People coming out at junctions and so on. Even got an oil tanker on the right hand lane which suddenly pulled across and turned left at a roundabout right in front of me.
The UK reg cars here are just as bad. Followed one recently which turned at least a dozen times and only used the indicator once to turn into his driveway.
I'm afraid bad driving is not just a Spanish malaise. A French one cut me up the other day by not even slowing down at a roundabout. And don't even mention the Brits in supermarket car parks..........sheeshh.

They think it goes onto their electric bill.

I don't think Spain has any worse drivers or is any more dangerous than other countries to drive in. UK and France also have their share of loonies. For me probably the most dangerous and annoying place to drive is SE England.

Personally I think the worst drivers around Quesada aren't the Spanish, yes they are bad but its all the rest who leave their brains at home wherever that might be.
