Hi

Just a bit of advice needed please before we come over in October.

Two months ago when over, we went out and bought a car from a dealer, only a cheap run around but 2 days after buying the vehicle, it broke down. Took it back and left it with them to fix, they reported it was an electrical fault but now all ok, drove it for a week when over in September and fine. Relative has used it this past week and same fault again, have now lost all confidence in the reliability of the car and have said so to the dealer in an email.

It did come with a guarantee, but I am just wondering what I can do, I don't want it fixed and fixed some more!

I am anticipating the dealer will not want to refund my money even though he sold me a lemon, so looking for some advice.

Hi is it a well known dealer in area iam sure you will get it sorted

Not sure fixing it is that easy Lorayne I had a similar prob with a car from a "reputable" dealer of 50 years standing in San Miguel when I returned the car and asked for my money back he refused. He now has a contract with my lawyer to sell the car and pay me or if he can't sell it pay me out of his pocket. 4 months on and I'm still waiting. This is probably one of the biggest dealers in the area and franchises with 3 well known manufacturers!! So......caveat Emtor

I have never seen a Multi franchise dealer in San Miguel and lived there for 5 years I know of a Seat and VW dealer A Ford dealer and a Opel dealer as far as I know that's the lot
