Driving to Madrid

hi
Can anybody please advise the best route to madrid avoiding bendy mountain roads and how long should it take

Straight up the A31 from Elche. Free motorway all the way and most of it is empty. Go on the A7 towards the airport and turn off towards Albacete and Madrid (well sign-posted).
Should take a little less than 5 hours.

We do this drive quite regularly and combine a couple of days in Madrid with a trip to our house near Villamartin.
Also during peak season School Holidays the flights to Madrid are usually 70% less then into Alicante.
About 4hrs 30m. We stop half way in Albacete for a bite to eat and rest. From memory there is one toll near the Airport
which is only a couple of Euros
