Ive been on the hunt for a new/secondhand car for the past weeks now, finding that Spanish secondhand cars are expensive and seem to have high kms and are old,but the dealers want to give you very little for your own car.anyone else found this?

Do you remember years ago, back in the 60s, when crooked dealers sold dodgy secondhand cars and wore sheepskin coats? Well, it's too hot here for sheepskin coats.

If your old car us on UK plates then it has very little value in Spain.
If it's on Spanish plates then why not sell it privately on the forums?

Generally speaking, Spanish second-hand cars are much more expensive than in the UK. Anything under 10 years old needs an ITV every 2 years but after that it's every year, so you find that the price drops a bit with a car that's approaching its 10th birthday.

Pete.
