insurance4carhire.com.
Around £40 for the year. I had to use them once in UK when I hit the pothole from Hell and shredded a tyre and damaged an alloy wheel. They didn't even ask for receipts as the cost was under £300 and paid out within a week.

be aware that car hire excess policies generally only pay out for documented and invoiced repairs. They won't cover the sort of scams perpetrated by some of the budget rental companies, where they bill you for alleged damage without actually carrying out repairs. I found this out the hard way.

insurance4carhire.com paid out on a claim I made last year for a supposed scuff mark on drivers door. Rental company Firefly charged me €250 for this. Just as well I had insurance with above company.
