Can anyone recommend a reasonable cost car insurance company and does the insurance generally include breakdown and recovery.

TIA
John

Spanish insurance on the road behind Quesada fish & chips & all insurances include breakdown & recovery
as its illegal to tow in Spain ( apart from caravans & trailers)

You could try phoning Linea Directa first for a quote so that you have a price to compare with other insurances.
Rightmove are a brokers rather than an insurance company.

It pays to haggle. I got €50 knocked off of my renewal with Ibex, when I told them I had found a better deal elsewhere. They matched the other co's price, no quibble.

I would advise speaking to One Way Services, they seem to know the best companies to insure with.

Donna at Right Move is brilliant, she goes the extra mile in terms of customer service, even in translating docs. I asked for a ball park price on a 4x4 and she was 15% cheaper than other quotes

Just be careful who you go with, as I am currently having a bit of a nightmare after having had my car stole at the end of June.

Claim has yet to be settled as I have to wait 40 days incase the car re-appears, and I have had to do quite a bit of running around to gather in paperwork for the insurance company - all of which was requested of me in spanish, even though I went with an english speaking company to avoid this exact situation. I have had to contact the company who sold me the car, had to go to Elche to collect paperwork, and had 3 or 4 visits to insurance office and numerous emails back and forth. All this while trying to enjoy a family holiday - not fun.

Much cheaper walking :D :D :D
