In the post today I received a speeding ticket addressed to me with the date offence date 14-07-18, I actually sold the car on the 06-07-18 so it is the new owner driving too fast, not me !

A firm in Los Montesinos were used to do the transfer...

Anybody experienced this ? Hw do I go about clearing myself of this offence ?

Many thanks in advance...

I notice that the speeding offense was 8 days after you sold the car so it is possible that the name change has not yet been completed.
I would get in touch with the company that did the transfer and explain to them. They should sort it out for you.

When we did our car transfer , the lady gave us a letter, dated with the sale to the new owners , stating the transfer was to be completed on the date it was booked into Traffico .
The company who is doing the transfer for you should verify the date of sale for you to confirm you was not the owner at the time the speeding was issued.

We had the same. Just took the paperwork to the garage who sold the car and they dealt with it.

You should have a document signed by both parties with date time and mileage of car when sold if the transfer company won't sort it and you have a solicitor on a retainer they will normally sort it for you with no charge.
