I hope you get an answer soon Bill. I'm sure there must be someone on here who has bought a new car from a dealer in Spain.

I wonder if it might be an idea to ask some local rental companies where they get their cars from. They obviously trade-in their cars regularly and there may be some decent used cars there too...just a thought!

Hi Jan
Thanks for the reply, it wouldn't be a problem going to Fiat accept for that thing called"Spanish"

The only reason i'm thinking of buying is that hire car prices are getting silly and just been overcharged by Europcar via DoYouSpain.

Thanks Bill.

They are silly prices nowadays for hire cars. We go for a month at a time to Spain but now tend to only have a car for a week or two, mostly in the Summer for the beach etc. The first time we hired a car for the whole month a couple of years ago it cost nearly £1000 euros and it wasn't until afterwards we realised what a waste it was, as some days & most evenings we didn't use it.
There's lots of advice on here about owning a car in Spain. Good luck with the buying...let us know how you get on.
