hi, we have just arrived at La Finca Golf to live permanently so need a new car. Anyone got any info on delivery times for any new models from any garage as I need to take my UK car home in ten days time and don't want to leave the wife with no transport. Cheers

Ten days seems a bit short notice. Even if the dealer has the car in stock it can take longer than that to get the delivery and paperwork sorted. I bought a new one from stock a couple of years ago (Nissan) and I seem to remember it took over a month to actually take delivery of it.

Check with the dealers as they may have a demonstrator or fairly new part exchange in the showroom which might not take so long but the Spanish seem to have honed bureaucracy down to a fine art so nothing is as quick as you might hope.

We’ve just bought one from Kia. 2 1/2 weeks all in from ordering to pickup.

Thanks Marcliff, I thought ten days would be a bit tight. Irene, 2.5 weeks for a Kia sounds promising. Which garage was that again?

Torrevieja garage, I’d need to look up the street. All the car sales showrooms are on the same street. Not far from habaneras.

We hired a car while we were waiting for the new one.

Ask the Car Dealer if they will supply a curtesey car make it a condition of the order .

We did ask but no go.

Hire a car in the meantime, we had to do this as delivery off our new car was 10 weeks, but we had a buyer for our car, so we bit the bullet
