Vehicle Registration

Hi Guys, I have bought a car and I believe I have 30 days to register it in my name, The guy who I bought it from said, as I don't speak spanish, I'd need someone to help me, as it's quite a mission? Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks

So you did this without looking into it first! Mistake! hopefully not a big one as any outstanding bills of fines could end up being yours without the correct sale/purchase document
If you have a solicitor they will normally do this at a reasonable price I believe you have to do this within 30 days but not totally sure just get it done ASAP.

Ok Guys thank you, I did get the guy to sign a Bill of Sale saying it was free from any violations, fines, debt etc, if so he would be liable and have to pay. always difficult to enforce I guess. Always a mine field when moving to a new Country, suppose I'll never get it right all the time but thank god for this site, it's invaluable. much appreciated.

Got a used car from friend uk 12 months ago and brought back to spain gave to someone we know who sorts everything to make car legal still not reistered guy says it's traffico holding everything up ! We bought car from a friend in uk Nov last year ,handed all documents to this guy an paid him .he now says traffico wants the original nie certificate my friend had when he bought car which was here in spain 10 years ago he bought new an they took back to uk ..10 years later we bought it from him an is now back in spain how can traffico expect my friend to have his original nie number after 10 years living back in uk .can anyone advice please as he saying can't be done if not got it or he will have to pay for power of attorney ?
