Our Dacia is due it’s 12 month service.
Do we need to take the car to a Dacia dealer for the service record to be stamped or can we take it to a local garage.

Assuming that a service would be cheaper in a local garage than at a dealership?

Depends on the terms of the Guarantee have a close read of it but I would think you can use a Renault Garage as well but bear in mind if you pay peanuts you get monkeys

Also bear in mind that the service has to be recorded on the Manufacturers main computer system

I would go main dealer.. Keep record going.. And you'll get any software updates too Dacias are cheap to service anyway.. I enquired when I bought mine circa €90

You can take any car for a service to any garage, just bear in mind that a non dealership garage may not use the actual parts for that particular car type and use a cheaper type of part, this in turn can affect the validity of your warranty. You can insist that the chosen garage does use only recognised parts, and obtain the relevant documentation that it has been done, however it would be unlikely that their price would be much cheaper than using the actual dealership.

Had ours serviced last year by the main dealer in Torrevieja and it wasn't much over 100 euros.
