I would be interested to hear from those who have sold or bought privately. The process seems typically Spanish insofar as overly complex, littered with tripping hazards to the unwary and prone to disaster. Is it really that bad/laborious or is it a little exaggerated in what I read?

I have bought and sold privately with almost every car I have owned and don't really have any desire to give a dealer margin either on a sale or a purchase.

Providing you know the procedure in buying private following the rules here not a problem transfer etc.and if you buy from a reputable garage they do it all for you, so no problem at all.
